Education Music Director

Sabina Perlsweig has been teaching music in the Bay Area for 9 years and has been music directing with Coastal Rep Kids for 6 years. She is trained in both musical theater and classical voice, as well as piano and jazz/classical saxophone. She studied music at UC Berkeley, where she was a member of both the University of California Marching Band and the University Chorus. In addition to her extensive musical performances, she has appeared in productions such as The Unsinkable Molly Brown and Beauty and the Beast (Belle), and has music directed for Big the Musical. Outside of her work in the theater, she enjoys working as a private vocal, piano, and saxophone instructor, as well as serving as the Assistant Director for Half Moon Bay’s Coastside Chorale. In addition to her love of all things musical, she is a well-known bibliophile.




Cathe B, an MFA from the California Institute of the Arts, with 37 years of stage and screen experience, is a Second City performance alumna in good standing, is a ComedySportz alumna in good standing, and has 18 years direct teaching experience for both children and adults. She has been on Caroline’s Comedy Hour, MTV’s Half Hour Comedy Hour, and dozens of other television appearances. Cathe also had a long term gig as an improv comedian on several radio shows on Premiere Networks, building an international following. As a stand-up, Cathe has performed in 5 countries, in 48 states and has been listed as one of the few “comics to watch” by Comic Bible magazine. She currently resides on the Coast, and performs in two bands as well, as a drummer and singer.

Improv Instructor

Emily York is a Bay Area native, who has been directing and teaching theater for nearly half her life.  She trained at the American Conservatory Theater in acting, directing, voice and movement and earned a BA from Loyola Marymount University.  She previously ran and directed a musical theater camp for children in Los Angeles and credits include: The Phantom of the Opera, West Side Story, The Sound of Music and Beauty and the Beast.  Other directing credits include: The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged, As You Like It, Much Ado About Nothing, Our Town, Rumors, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and Almost, Maine.  Currently, she is stage managing Deathtrap at Coastal Rep and co-directing Peter and the Starcatcher at Carlmont High School.

Choreographer and Dance Teacher

Julia Thollaug is a local teacher and choreographer who has choreographed The Addams Family, Avenue Q, and The Fantastiks for CRT's mainstage shows as well as The Little Mermaid and Mamma Mia! at Half Moon Bay High School. We are excited to have Julia join our CRKT staff.
